Hardwood floors are often a home’s most treasured characteristic. They’re durable, esthetically pleasing, and can even increase the value of your home. But with an investment of that scale, you want to ensure you’re taking the best care possible of your floors.

Use the right products

Finding the right cleaning products for your hardwood floors can be challenging. First, it needs to be effective. But you also want to ensure it’s safe for you and your family. In addition to that, you also need a solution that protects your investment and improves its longevity. Luckily, we have cleaning and maintenance products that check all those boxes.

When you regularly use the products above, you should get quite a few years out of your hardwood floors before you have to do a more intense refresh. Three to five years to be exact. With WOCA Maintenance Diamond Active, you can breathe new life into your floors with the added protection you know and love from our products. Pro tip: Prep your floor with Intensive Wood Cleaner beforehand to ensure the deepest penetration of your maintenance oil.

Avoid the wrong products

Choosing the wrong products to clean your hardwood floors can be bad for a few reasons. Not only do you want to ruin or tarnish the strength of your floors, but you also want to make sure the products you use are safe to do so. Be sure to avoid products with:

    • High volatile organic compounds (VOCs)
    • Vinegar
    • Ammonia

Also be sure to stay clear of DIY cleaning solutions, as you never know how chemicals will react with one another. It’s always best to stick with tried and tested solutions.

Stay consistent

To keep your hardwood floors clean and long-lasting, consistency is key. That doesn’t mean to need to clean and polish them every day, but using the right products on a consistent basis will definitely help. Stay on track with our Natural Cleaning Products Subscription. I have pine floors that were distressed then finished with DuraSeal oil finish. Are your products compatible with DuraSeal finishes?
