WOCA Patina Discs are specifically designed for wet polishing oil into wood. These discs effectively drive the oil deeper into the wood, enhancing the surface's chemical resistance and making it more resilient against water and stains.
WOCA Patina Discs are an optional accessory for wood finishing flooring and furniture. There are few different ways a WOCA Patina Disc can be used to finish wood.
For new, plain sawn hardwood or tropical wood species flooring and furniture
- Use WOCA patina discs with Diamond Oil Active for a 1 coat application.
- Use WOCA patina discs when applying a 2nd coat to raise the sheen to a satin or for an smooth furniture grade finish.
For Softwoods like Pine/Douglas Fir or Reclaimed, Antique, and/or dry, brittle wood flooring and furniture.
- We do not recommend a 1 coat or 1st coat application using a WOCA patina disc.
- It is OK to use a patina disc when applying the final coat of oil for a satin sheen or a smooth, furniture grade finish.
Use a single disc when polishing by hand or attach 2-3 discs to a floor polishing pad when using a floor machine. Oil coverage rates may be lower when using WOCA Patina discs.
