Choose Your Diamond Oil Active Color Before Refinishing

WOCA Diamond Oil Active is available in 9 colors in a 1.5 oz tester or 2.5 liter can. Different wood species can produce different finished colors, and screen settings can affect how online swatches appear.

Order a Diamond Oil tester to decide which color is best for your project. Testing the oil directly on the wood you plan to finish gives you a better idea of the final result before committing to the full floor. You can also review the Diamond Oil Active Colors before choosing a tester.

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of wood surfaces can Diamond Oil Active be used on?

Diamond Oil Active can be used on a wide range of interior wood surfaces and hardwood floors, including domestic and exotic wood species, as well as reclaimed and antique wood.

Can Diamond Oil Active be applied over an existing wood finish?

No. For best results, remove the original finish completely. Sand the wood to a final grit of 120-150 before applying Diamond Oil Active.

Can I apply two coats of Diamond Oil Active?

Yes, especially when finishing softwoods or reclaimed wood. A second coat of Diamond Oil Active can provide richer color and added durability and protection.

How do I clean and maintain a surface finished with Diamond Oil Active?

For regular wood care, use WOCA Natural Soap. For quarterly cleaning, use WOCA Oil Refreshing Soap. Avoid homemade cleaners and general-purpose cleaners that may be too harsh for an oil-finished wood surface.

Can scratches, stains, or worn areas be repaired without refinishing the entire floor?

A WOCA oiled floor does not necessarily require a whole-home sand and refinish when only part of the floor needs attention. You can clean and re-oil areas that need work individually.

A floor machine is recommended when applying oil. For areas under 400 square feet, you can also polish the oil in by hand with a white 3M pad. Clean the area first, allow it to dry completely, apply and buff the oil according to the product instructions, and observe the required cure time before cleaning the treated surface.
