FAQ Why is there a hazmat shipping fee?

The presence of Sodium Hydroxide in Antique, Driftwood, and Softwood Lye has classified this product as hazardous by the Department of Transportation. Consequently, it necessitates special documentation and handling during transportation. A Hazmat Fee of $100.00 per box is required, regardless of whether you are shipping a standard 2.5-liter bottle or a 3.5-ounce sample tester, as mandated for ground shipping by the Department of Transportation.

1 box = Qty 1-4, 2.5 liter bottles.

These orders will be shipped using FedEx Ground Hazmat and a signature is required upon delivery.

Woca Woodcare Shipping and Delivery

Our warehouse ships Monday-Thursday. Orders received on Thursday and Friday will be processed and shipped by the following Monday.  We use Standard Shipping Rates for all U.S. Deliveries. Delivery is usually within 5 to 7 business days once parcel has shipped. If you need to receive the items sooner, please select an expedited shipping type at checkout.

Due to the ongoing shipping delays and issues with USPS and UPS, WOCA Woodcare will not reimburse shipping charges for delayed, lost or damaged shipments. Shipping charges are determined by USPS and UPS.

When ordering Antique Oak Lye, Driftwood Lye, or Softwood Lye, there is an additional handling fee, and they must be shipped via FedEx Ground Hazmat. This is due to the hazardous material status of these products.

WOCA Woodcare reserves the right to change or choose the shipping company for each shipment.
