Is the hardener necessary for each coat?
Yes
Should I use a roller or a T-Bar to apply WOCA Water Based Finish?
WOCA RP 2K can only be applied with a roller. Use a 3/8” nap lint free microfiber roller
WOCA Optima, WOCA XP 2K and Natural Sealer may be applied with either a 3/8” nap lint free microfiber roller or a T-bar. T-bar application usually applies less finish per pass and requires more passes than a roller.
Proper application amounts are crucial. Do not exceed 500 sf per coat with 1 gallon of product for optimal durability.
Do I have to use a sealer before a WOCA Water Based Finish?
WOCA RP2K – No sealer required.
WOCA Optima – A stain or sealer is optional, we recommend WOCA Natural or Arctic Sealer
WOCA Advanced 2K – Yes, use WOCA Natural Sealer or Arctic Sealer
Can I repair scratch and scuffs on a water based finish?
Try WOCA Master Floor Care which helps minimize small scratches and scuff marks. If the marks or blemishes aren’t fixed to your satisfaction, the whole section must be sanded and refinished.
Which floor cleaner is recommended for a Water Based polyurethane floor?
Can I put a water based finish over an oil?
WOCA Optima or XP2K can be applied over Master Color Oil only. Diamond Oil Active cannot be top coated with a water-based finish.
Once the Master Color Oil has been properly applied, after 7 days (fully cured) you may begin coating it with WOCA Optima or XP 2K.
Can I apply a polyurethane over a lye?
Is polyurethane the same as a water based finish?
Water based finish and water based polyurethane are the same. Oil based polyurethane has high VOCs and can yellow over time. Water based polyurethane is higher quality, no yellowing, and lower in VOCs.
