  1. Unfinished flooring should be freshly sanded with grit 100-120. Clean the floor with a solution of 1/4 cup Wood Cleaner per gallon of water. The floor must be completely dry and free from dirt and grease before the oil application. Recommended wood moisture max. 12%. The oiling is made at min. 60° F.
  2. Shake the oil container well before and during use. Apply WOCA Master Oil with a low nap paint roller in an even coat onto approx. 100 – 200 s.f. of floor. Leave the oil to be absorbed for 10 minutes. If dry spots appear, apply more oil.
  3. The area is then polished with a red pad under the buffer until the wood appears saturated. Excess oil is removed with lint free cloths or scraped with a squeegee onto the next section of floor to be finished. The area is then polished with lint free cloths under a white pad. The floor should not appear wet and no excess oil should be left on the surface after polishing. Continue in sections until the whole floor has been finished.
  4. After 6-8 hours, or when dry enough to walk on, the floor should be buffed with white polishing pad and Master Oil. If a silk-matte surface is required, the floor may be buffed with 1 liter of Master Oil to 500 – 600 s.f. of floor. For a more durable surface Maintenance Paste can be used a rate of 330 s.f. per 14 oz. tube. This is done after the pre-hardening time and the oil must be polished carefully into the floor . Remove any excess oil from the surface. After 12 hours the floor may be used with caution. The surface is fully hardened after 36-48 hours. Do not expose the floor to water during the hardening time.
Regular cleaning: Natural Soap or Oil Refresher. Re-oil with Maintenance Oil, Oil Care or Maintenance Paste when required.
