Interior Wood Care - Collection Description
How to Clean Hardwood Floors
Proper interior wood care helps extend the life of your floors and keep them in good condition:
-
Sweep or clean with a wool dust mop or floor-safe vacuum regularly to remove dust and debris.
-
Use a natural hardwood soap (WOCA Natural Soap) to clean and protect wood, cleaning bi-weekly or weekly if needed.
- For stains and minor scratches, treat regularly with Natural Soap to remove over time.
-
For stubborn stains: consider Wood Stain Remover or Tannin Spot Remover (Follow up with a touch-up oil application to restore the protective layer and blend the stain removal seamlessly into the surrounding wood).
-
For scratches: polish the original finishing oil in the area with a white pad and wipe off the excess with clean cotton cloths. Contact our support team for guidance on remedying scratches that run against the grain.
- For a full floor makeover: apply an oil-based wood finish to enhance color and strengthen the surface.
Step by Step
-
Prep floors with Intensive Wood Cleaner to clean wood surface and open wood grain.
-
Working in small sections, apply oil with a roller, brush, or oil applicator and let it absorb (Master Color Oil: 20 min / Diamond Oil Active: 10-15 min).
-
Work oil into wood using a red pad until uniform and thoroughly saturated. Thoroughly polish off excess oil with a clean cotton cloth/polishing cloth attached to a clean buffer pad. Hand wipe edges.
- Allow oil to harden for 24 hours before cautious use. Full cure time: 7 days.
