Interior Furniture Kit Application Instructions

The wood surface must be sanded to 100-150 grit, clean, and free of dust and dirt.

  1. Spray the entire wood surface with Intensive Wood Cleaner Spray.  Using a cloth wipe the surface clean.  This prep cleaning is an important step to open the wood grain and neutralize surface tannin.  A richer color and increased durability is achieved when the wood is prepped with Intensive Wood Cleaner Spray.
  2. Let dry at least 4 hours before applying oil.
  3. Shake oil bottle well.
  4. With a paint brush or foam brush, apply oil in a thin coat.  For horizontal surfaces, let the oil soak in for 5-10 minutes.  For vertical surfaces, immediately start step 5.
  5. Polish in the oil by hand using the green WOCA Patina Disc.  Polish and work the oil into the wood well.   Then wipe off all excess oil immediately with the WOCA Polishing Cloth.  No excess oil should be left on the wood surface.
  6. If richer color and increased durability is wanted, a 2nd coat can be applied 6 hours later.  Repeat step 4 and 5.  The 2nd coat requires less oil to be applied.
  7.  The surface can be used after 24 hours with caution.  Do not expose woodwork to water/liquids for 7 days during its hardening/cure time.
  8. After 7 days, clean surface with Natural Soap Spray to provide additional conditioning and protection.

Pro tips:

The green Patina disc can be attached to white pad on an orbital polisher.

The green WOCA Patina disc is reusable.  Clean after use with mineral spirits.

For fastest drying time, leave windows slightly open to ensure a steady flow of fresh oxygen.

Rags, pads or waste soaked with WOCA oil may self-ignite if improperly discarded.
Immediately after use, place all rags and waste in a sealed, water filled bucket for proper disposal.
