How often do I have to do maintenance on my Exterior Oil deck?
The frequency of maintenance on your oil treated exterior deck depends on many factors including amount of direct sunlight, shade, precipitation, wood species, which color of WOCA Exterior Oil was applied and how many coats were applied. The Exterior Oil colors with more pigment have greater UV protection. We recommend assessing your deck yearly.
What materials/surfaces can WOCA Exterior Cleaner be used on?
WOCA Exterior Cleaner is used for cleaning outdoor wood decking, outdoor furniture, siding, brick, stone pavers, concrete, and outdoor tile.
Does Exterior Cleaner remove green growth?
WOCA Exterior Cleaner effectively removes dirt, mold, stains and green growth, and it is safe to use around your plants.
Is Exterior Cleaner safe to use around plants?
WOCA Exterior Cleaner, when diluted is a plant safe outdoor surface cleaner. So you don't need to worry about harming your flowers, shrubs, lawn, or surrounding vegetation.
Do I need to apply exterior oil after using the cleaner?
After cleaning the outdoor wood, you should apply Exterior Wood Oil for optimum protection from the harsh outdoor elements.
Do I need to clean my deck with Exterior Cleaner before applying Exterior Oil?
If your deck is new, you do not need to use WOCA Exterior Cleaner before oiling the wood. If it is not new wood, then it is recommended to thoroughly clean the wood before applying WOCA Exterior Oil.
If I treat my teak furniture will it lose its silver-gray appearance?
Treating any wood with oil will bring out the natural glow and in-turn darken the wood. Instead of oiling the teak furniture and losing the natural teak beauty, clean more than usual with WOCA Exterior Cleaner. While they won’t be as dirt repellent, they will maintain their natural characteristics and long life with regular cleaning. Compensate for less resistance with more frequent cleaning.
