How to Clean and Maintain Oil Finished Floors
WOCA Residential Maintenance Schedule
Daily Maintenance (As Necessary)
- Spot Spray any affected areas with WOCA Natural Soap Spray.
- Wipe with dry cloth or mop.
WOCA Natural Soap Spray Bottle makes daily cleanup easy and convenient. It is important to carefully consider what product to use when cleaning your oiled floors. If you use common household items, you can easily end up with an unwanted result. The pH value in some household items is very high, which can strip the finish, discolor the wood and leave your floor unprotected.
Bi-weekly (Every 2 weeks)
- Coverage is 3000-4000 SF/liter.
- Sweep area regularly.
- Damp mop using WOCA NATURAL SOAP (NATURAL or WHITE) mixed 3oz of Soap/gallon of water.
WOCA Natural Soap is designed to clean and protect oil finished surfaces from dirt, stains and wear and tear. Leaving behind an invisible layer of soy and coconut fats to help ward off most anything. When used on a regular basis, WOCA Natural Soap makes your oil finished floor more dirt and wear resistant and easier to keep clean.
Quarterly (3-4 times year)
- Colors: Natural or White.
- Available in 1 liter & 2.5 liter concentrate.
- Coverage is 1500-2000 SF/liter.
Every 3 to 4 months WOCA Oil Refresher is used to clean/refresh the floor. WOCA Oil Refresher Maintenance product (Natural or White) is a partner to the WOCA Natural Soap. WOCA Oil Refresher combines efficient cleaning with oil rejuvenation, as additional oil penetrates the wood and reinforces the existing oil finish.
Damp mop using WOCA OIL REFRESHER (NATURAL or WHITE) For site finished oiled floors and oxidative oiled floors: 6 oz/gallon of water. For UV-oiled and Hardwax oiled floors: 3 oz/gallon of water.
Re-Oiling Maintenance (3-5 years)
Re-oiling is typically a machine buff application. Contact your local flooring professional for application.
The schedule for this type of cleaning will need to be adjusted based on the look of the floor from lifestyle, traffic, etc.
